Nicole Brunelle

Nicole graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1985 from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ont. She is French speaking.

In 1987 Nicole received extensive training in clinical application and theory of orthodonctic dentistry (braces), and was later certified  with the International Association of Orthodontics.

In 1998, Nicole graduated with Honours from the Restorative Dental Hygiene Program (RRDH) at George Brown College in Toronto.

Attending Conferences and completing courses as a member with the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM) in 2012 has  brought Nicole into an exciting field of dentistry that is true to who she is, that being a ‘whole-body’ practitioner. This area of study considers the entire body’s health when treating the mouth. The body and mouth are connected. What we Dental Professionals do orally, the products, treatment philosophy and differing methods used, will inevitably have either a positive or negative effect on the rest of the body.

Nutrition plays a huge role in what Nicole teaches and stresses as a path to great oral and overall health. She sought out to learn more, and in October of 2015, became Certified as a Nutritional Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

She is passionate about biological dentistry and is able to share with you it’s importance. It is this passion, that lead her to further study and be Certified as a Biological Dental Hygienist in November of 2020.

It is through this whole-body approach that Nicole’s clientele greatly benefit. Her desire to practice dental hygiene in the way she strives to live (that is reducing the daily, unwanted chemical insult on one’s body) is a ‘natural’ fit.

Nicole has a great understanding of treatment modalities of tmj, orthodontic and restorative procedures. She is passionate about biological dentistry and is able to share with you it’s importance.

It is the experience, skill set and continuing education that  Nicole’s clients appreciate and learn from.

Nicole’s spare time is often spent outside, in all seasons. Be it cycling, walking or trying not to fall off her stand-up board in the summer, to snowshoeing and skiing and more walking in the winter. She enjoys the arts and can spend a very long time in museums. She is also an avid reader and docs/podcast listerner to everything health/faith oriented. There is simply so much to learn. She is a gardener want-to-be, sprouter, soup maker, DIYer and her love for pets finds she and her husband pet/house sitting quite frequently.
